Library Card Application

This guide is for Kentucky residents who are first-time cardholders. Residents under 18 will be issued a limited card. Lost cards may be replaced at any Pike County Library location. Please report lost or stolen library cards and any address changes as soon as possible. When you apply for a library card, you agree to return borrowed materials on time and assume responsibility for lost or damaged items.

How To Get A Library Card

Kentucky residents who are 18 or older can register for a Pike County Public Library card and account by visiting any of our locations with a current photo ID and piece of mail. Residents who are under 18 may do so with a parent or guardian signature.

Acceptable forms of ID for a new library card:

Valid Photo ID (State issued driver's license, ID card, or Military ID)

AND

Piece of mail with Name and Address or legal documents, notorized documents, etc.

Yes. As long as you provide a photo ID you can be provided a guest pass by a librarian for one-time access to a computer.
